Termites

Termite on brushwood

Homes or buildings with leaky pipes, improper drainage, and poor air flow create moisture issues that attract termites and can cause major damage.

When Should I get a Termite Inspection?

Before you buy a new home, especially if it is an older home, it is best to get an inspection to ensure that you don’t get into a home that already has a lot of damage.

Every 1-2 years or when you see signs of a problem. Discolored or drooping drywall, peeling paint that resembles water damage, crumbling and damaged wood, mud tubes climbing the foundation of your home are all signs of termites.

What can I expect during a termite inspection?

I will look at the  interior and exterior areas of your home, checking for visible signs of a termite infestation, which include: droppings, broken wings, mud tubes, and damaged wood. I will check your baseboards, walls, windows, crawl spaces, door frames, insides of cabinets and closets.

Take a look at the Wood Destroying Insect Inspection Report to learn about how the inspection is conducted.

How much does it cost?

Taggart Inspections currently offers termite inspections for $150.00. If I am conducting a home inspection for you then the cost of the termite inspection would be $50.00. These prices are subject to change at any time.
